Each year I am humbled by your generosity, your eagerness to lend a helping hand and your readiness to give even more than you ever thought you could. 2015 tested us and reminded us that we are a strong community of many talents.

The biggest challenge of 2015 was deciding not to hold Kursa last summer due to the lack of students. This was a true wake up call and it caused us to question our values, our commitment, and our vision for the future. But from that loss came something amazing and we couldn’t have done it without you.
As we prepare for another summer of learning, growing and sharing in our rich cultural heritage, the West Coast Latvian Education Center invites you to remember the moments of hard work, of song and dance, and of laughter shared between friends at our favorite spot in the woods in 2015. We truly do appreciate your support and your patronage; with it we look forward to working for you into 2016 and beyond.
Just as we are proud of the accomplishments of last year and of those that came before us, we continue to be a community of many talents. That means everyone has something to give and every little bit does help. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization we rely on you to ensure that we are able to open the gates to students and families each year. Thank you for making that possible.
When you visit the Center in a few weeks for Jāņi, take a look around. Is the Estrāde spruced up? Is the grass cut and are the trails cleared? You did that! Your gift keeps our camp functioning and clean, and at Jāņi it makes wreath making, beer and cheese tasting and fern blossom chasing possible.
From the West Coast Latvian Education Center Board, we thank you and we look forward to seeing you in Shelton this season!
